Report: Young Thug's Security Worker Found Murdered in Atlanta Home
Atlanta police are investigating the murder of a security guard who reportedly worked for Young Thug. 23-year-old Quintavius Waters was found at home by his roommate Monday (Dec. 7), the Atlanta-Journal Constitution reports.
The roommate had returned close to midnight, discovering Waters on his bed with a bullet to the back of the head. “After checking him out it appeared he suffered a gunshot wound to the head,” Atlanta Police Maj. Adam Lee III said.
Police found no signs of forced entry, leading to the theory that Waters may have known his killer. “Whoever did this, apparently they were invited in or they know the subject,” added Lee.
The victim’s 2001 Ford Mustang convertible, with Alabama plates reading 3AG5624, and his Yorkshire terrier are both missing. “I’m just wondering what happened,” said Marco Hill, one of Waters’s friends. “I want to know how this happened.”
Waters was described as “welcoming” and a “good person in the community,” though a friend discouraged him from inviting strangers into his house. “I told him, ‘You can’t do that in Atlanta. I guess he did that to someone else, to the wrong person,” recalled Toboris Character, who confirmed that Waters worked security for Thugger as well as at a local club.
Character last heard from Waters Monday evening around 6 p.m. Waters asked if Character wanted to go to the mall but he declined because of music rehearsal. He later found out Waters had died through Facebook, though it took a minute to sink in. Character says he called Waters and the phone went straight to voice mail before he went over to his house. “That’s when I saw the news trucks," Character recalled.
Anyone with information on the murder is urged to contact Atlanta Police.
