Game Thinks Social Media Ruined Rap Beef

Compton rapper goes on Instagram rant.

It seems like Game is longing for the days when rap beef was restricted to wax. The Compton rapper sounded slightly frustrated in a lengthy Instagram post on how things changed since social media took over just about every facet of life.

GENERATION GAP: WHEN OLD AND NEW RAPPERS BEEF

He starts it off with a “What’s Beef?” meme that reads, “Beef is when you shot ya enemies in a tweet,” and “Beef is when he IG you, you response on IG too.”

The meme leads into his micro rant with mentions of classic hip hop rifts (Nas and Jay Z, KRS-One vs. Busy Bee, Ice Cube vs. N.W.A, and his beef with 50 Cent) as examples.

“Back when your whole neighborhood & city got behind you & supported you,” writes Game. “But now, so much of this bulls--t going around, it's even hard for me not to get sucked into this social media way of beefing.... & even though some of these memes be funny as f--k….. Why do they determine who won a rap beef ??? WTF happened to REAL hip hop & the classic way of handling rap feuds ??? Never thought I'd see the day when rap beefs were won over iPhone apps & s--t. We went from learning from & respecting the O.G.'s to learning from & depending on I.G.'s lol."

His commentary is more than likely related to Meek Mill drama with Drake, and now 50 Cent. Adds Game, “Rap all f---ed up & n----s is gettin more weird in this s--t as the followers pile up.”
