That One Time Prince Turned Down A Collab With The Game Over One Word

Game was SO close.

Now that Prince has passed away, stories about memorable encounters are coming out by those who knew him well, or even a little bit.

The Game may not have known the “Purple Rain” singer really well, but apparently the two were very close to collaborating on music together. Close but no cigar, according to the Compton rapper.

“I wanted him to get on a song and he was down to do the song," Game told TMZ. "So we met at Doug Morris’ office at Universal a few years back… He heard the song and there was one curse word in it and he was like, ‘I can’t get on that, it's got a curse word in it,'" he continued. Seriously? It’s well known that Prince doesn’t like cursing but still, one little word?

"We laughed about it again when I saw him at the BET awards or something, so it was real dope," Game remembered closing out the memory.

Oh well. If you think about it, that would’ve been an interesting song to say the least. Watch Game’s quick interview with TMZ below.
