The National Urban League has partnered with an accredited online university to help individuals associated with the organization reach their academic and career goals.

Employees, members, and clients of the NUL will receive support through the organization to attend Western Governors University, the only university in the U.S. offering “competency-based degree programs” and the only not-for-profit online university with students in all 50 states.

"The National Urban League is thrilled to have partnered with WGU," said Marc H. Morial, president and CEO of the National Urban League. "Their online programs offer flexibility, high quality and affordability and give individuals a great opportunity to earn a degree that will be respected by employers nationwide."

Founded in 1997, the university offers 50 degree programs in business, education, health professions and information technology.

Employees, members and clients of the National Urban League will receive a $65 application fee waiver, 5 percent off WGU’s tuition and the opportunity to apply for one of 20 $5,000 scholarships sponsored by the school and the civil rights organization.
