Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. was founded on the campus of Howard University.
On Nov. 17, 1911, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. was founded on the campus of Howard University in Washington, D.C.
The fraternity was the first to be founded on the campus of a historically black college and was incorporated under the laws of the District of Columbia on October 28, 1914.
The fraternity was founded by Howard University undergraduate students Edgar Amos Love, Oscar James Cooper and Frank Coleman.
Some its notable members include Langston Hughes, Jesse Jackson, Steve Harvey and Michael Jordan.
