Jesse Jackson Jr.'s Ill-Gotten Goods May Go to Auction Block

A public auction may be held to recover some of the $750,000 Jesse Jackson Jr. and wife Sandi stole from his campaign.

Former congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. owes the federal government megabucks, but it's unlikely he'll be able to earn it while serving time in prison. The good news for him is that some of the goods he and wife Sandi illegally purchased using $750,000 in campaign funds may be auctioned off, CBS Chicago reports.

Potential sale items include a $43,000 Rolex watch, furs, celebrity memorabilia once owned by Michael Jackson and Bruce Lee and flat screen TVs. For those who fancy the exotic, there may be an opportunity to buy the two mounted elks heads sold in an FBI sting operation against him.

If and when an auction will be held is not certain. It would likely take place after Jackson and his wife, who entered a plea deal for filing false tax returns, are sentenced in June.
