Michael Brown's Father Remembers His Son on His 19th Birthday
Mayor announces that the slain teen's memorial will be replaced with a plaque.
Michael Brown would have celebrated his 19th birthday today.
"There's not a day that goes by that I don't think about my son," Michael Brown's father said at a news conference in Ferguson, Mo.
At the news conference, Ferguson Mayor James Knowles III announced that the slain teen's memorial would be removed on Wednesday from Canfield Drive, where Brown was shot and killed. It will be replaced with a plaque, which will be embedded within the cement, as part of a project to resurface the street.
"We're just really trying to move forward," Brown said. "It just needs to be moved."
Brown was killed on Aug. 9 by Officer Darren Wilson in Ferguson, Mo., Wilson did not face charges for the fatal shooting.
