Who Got the Juice? The O.J. Simpson Trial 20 Years Later Premieres on BET on Oct. 7

'Who Got the Juice? The O.J. Simpson Trial 20 Years Later' to premiere on BET on Oct. 7.

Oct. 3 marks 20 years since O.J. Simpson was acquitted of murder charges in one of the longest cases to go to trial in California. BET News documentary Who Got the Juice? The O.J. Simpson Trial 20 Years Later follows how race, class and justice intersected in this infamous trial in its premiere on BET on Oct. 7 at 10P/9C.

Directed by Sacha Jenkins, the special is part of BET News' Truth Series and will feature exclusive interviews with Star Jones, Reverend Al Sharpton, Michael Eric Dyson, Ed Gordon, Professor Marc Lamont Hill and others. Simpson was charged with the double murder of his wife and her friend.
“My mother taught me, it is your character that counts not your color. I am Black; do not let anyone judge you or limit you by saying you’re Black and you’re limited,” Simpson told BET News anchor Ed Gordon in an exclusive interview after he was acquitted.
A racial divide ignited after the jury found the former NFL star not guilty. In polls, Blacks who watched the trial said they believed he was innocent while whites believed he had committed the crime.
