Watch: Texas Man Shoots His Daughter in Revenge Killing After His Ex Moved in With New Boyfriend

Tarel Felder posted a chilling video to Instagram moments before the murder.

An angry father in Harris County, Texas, killed his 4-year-old daughter because he was unhappy about her mother’s new boyfriend, said Sheriff’s investigators

Last week, Tarel Felder picked up his daughter, Amyira Mi'Heaven Felder (both pictured above), from her mother’s house and took her to his mother Dorian’s house. Felder was upset that his ex-girlfriend and Amyira’s mother, Shonique Johnson, moved to Louisiana with her new boyfriend.

“She wanted to go," said Johnson. "She said she wanted to be with her nana and her daddy because she was missing him, and I allowed her to go."

Johnson had no reason to believe that Amyira was in any sort of danger when she released her to Felder. However, on Thursday night, Dorian left the house to run errands. When she returned, she found her son dead and Amyira critically injured from gunshot wounds.

Amyira was rushed to a hospital for treatment, but she was later pronounced dead. Johnson believes that Felder became angry after they engaged in a phone call during which Felder begged for Johnson to get back together with him. When she refused, he became irate.

Police believe that Felder shot Amyira in her upstairs bedroom and later shot and killed himself.

Before the shooting, Felder posted an odd video to Instagram that many believe was his way of foreshadowing the events to come.

Johnson has gone to retrieve her daughter and just hopes that now she is in a better place.

“She’s with God now,” Johnson said to KTRK.
