32-year-old Rolanso Lexune was arrested and charged after New York police found the dead body of his ex-girlfriend, Deneisha Smith. 

The 27-year-old was found unconscious at her job, Bedford Technology, in Flatbush. Police used surveillance footage to identity Lexune as the one who choked Smith to death in the rear of the store.

Two months before the attack, Lexune had received a court order to stay away from Smith after physically assaulting and robbing her in July.

According to witnesses, the two had dated until Smith discovered that he was married with four children. The physical assaults started after she ended things with Lexune.

On Saturday, Lexune went to the cellphone store where Smith worked and began to harass her. When officials found her body, she had severe bruises around her neck. Police later tracked down Lexune to issue his arrest.

When police arrived at Lexune’s Brooklyn apartment, he stabbed himself in the stomach. Police then took Lexune into custody. He currently awaits arraignment for a murder charge.
