With reports of sexist remarks made by Donald Trump at an all-time high, four former Miss Teen USA contestants have come forward and alleged that the “billionaire” walked in on them while they were changing into their gowns. At the time, some of the contestants were as young as 15 years old.
Three former contestants who wish to remain anonymous and former Miss Vermont Teen USA Mariah Billado spoke with Buzzfeed News regarding the allegations. The women competed in the 1997 Miss Teen USA competition.
“I remember putting on my dress really quick because I was like, ‘Oh my God, there’s a man in here,’” Billado told Buzzfeed.
When Trump saw the ladies start to become unnerved, he responded with a disgusting remark, said the contestants.
“Don’t worry, ladies, I’ve seen it all before,” Billado recalled Trump responding.
Trump, who, until last year, owned Miss Universe, Miss USA and Miss Teen USA, has bragged in the past about walking in on the contestants while they were naked.
“I’ll tell you the funniest is that I’ll go backstage before a show and everyone’s getting dressed,” Trump told Howard Stern in recordings released by CNN. “No men are anywhere, and I’m allowed to go in, because I’m the owner of the pageant and therefore I’m inspecting it. … ‘Is everyone OK?’ You know, they’re standing there with no clothes. ‘Is everybody OK?’ And you see these incredible looking women, and so I sort of get away with things like that.”
Although four of the women alleged Trump saw them in compromising positions, other women have denied his presence in the changing room.
Former Miss Wisconsin Teen USA Allison Bowman said of the allegations, “These were teenage girls, if anything inappropriate had gone on, the gossip would have flown.”
While the former Miss Maine Teen US Crystal Hughes believes the women have ulterior motives.
“They’re probably lying because they are voting for Hillary Clinton,” said Hughes.
