This Woman Gets Letters Calling Her 'Nigger B***h' Slid Under Her Door

But Timber Lodge apartments won't let her break the lease.

A Black woman from Colorado claimed she’s been receiving racist notes under the door of her apartment and the property managers will not allow her to break her lease, reported the Denver Channel.

Allison Butler, who lives at the Timber Lodge apartments, said someone knocked on her door Saturday night, left a note that read “Nigger B***h,” and ran away. According to Butler, she’s received other notes that read “Niggers don’t belong.”

When Butler took her issue to her leasing agent, she was told she can’t break her contract because they can’t control what happens in the hallways of the complex

“I asked to be released from my lease but the manager at the leasing office.... (her) response is that I could buy out of it which means I could pay two-months’ rent even though I'm being harassed,” Butler told Denver Channel.

Butler also reported the notes to the Adam’s County Sheriff’s Office; however, they said they can’t do much unless she videotapes who is leaving the notes.

Because she is not able to break her lease, Butler is finding alternative options to help her deal with the harassment.

“I’m going to school to be a therapist. I truly want to do good in the world. So the fact that I could be reduced to a ‘nigger b***h’ does hurt,” Butler told Denver7.
