Monday - The President and the Vice President will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing and the Economic Daily Briefing in the Oval Office.  The President will then meet with senior advisors.

Jobs - So how many have been saved?  The White House says those numbers will not be ready until the fall.  However, the latest unemployment numbers, following months of large job losses, show that things have started to improve. Just last week most of the nation's largest businesses all reported greater earnings than expected, the stock market finished July up toward historic numbers, and a new report on Consumer Confidence has been welcome news for Wall Street.

Wednesday - On Wednesday, the President will hold a town hall on health care in the East Room, which will be broadcast on ABC during primetime.

Thursday - On Thursday, the President will participate in a service event in Washington, DC. He will also host a small group of Senate and House members from both sides of the aisle at the White House for a meeting on immigration. The meeting is to continue the conversation with the hopes of beginning the debate in earnest later this year. In the evening, the President will host a picnic for members of Congress and their families on the South Lawn.

Tuesday - In the morning, President Obama will meet with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, and later His All Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew at the White House. Obama will take part in the U.S.-European Union Summit in the afternoon along with Prime Minister Reinfeldt, President of the European Commission Jos&#233; Manuel Barroso and European Council High Representative Javier Solana.

Friday - On Friday, the President will meet with German Chancellor Merkel at the White House for the first time since she turned down a previous invitation to visit, according to German reports. According to the White House said the leaders will discuss "a broad agenda of global issues of mutual concern."
