The Michigan State head coach has been offered the Cleveland Cavaliers head coaching position and a possible shot to coach of LeBron James, if he re-signs. Masoli Kicked Off Oregon Ducks - University of Oregon quarterback Jeremiah Masoli was dismissed from the football program after marijuana was found in a car during a police stop. In March, Masoli was found guilty of second-degree burglary and suspended by head coach Chip Kelly for the season.

Parker Separates Shoulder - Los Angeles Sparks forward Candace Parker was taken to a hospital after she separated her left shoulder in the second quarter of her team’s 88-84 victory over Minnesota. Parker, who has injured the same shoulder in the past, will be out of action indefinitely.

Ghana Wins 1-0 In World Cup - Ghana was the first African team to win a match in the World Cup on African soil, defeating Serbia 1-0. "This is an important World Cup for Africa and it's important that the Africans support each other," midfielder Dede Ayew said. "That's what happened today. The support was marvelous. We want to thank everyone who came to support us and I hope we'll continue to make them proud."

Boston Takes 3-2 Lead - The Boston Celtics are just one win from the NBA Championship after knocking off the Los Angeles Lakers 92-86 on Sunday. Kobe Bryant led all scorers with 38 points but it wasn’t enough as four Celtics were in double figures. Game 6 is on Tuesday night at Staples center.

Peterson Misses Camp - Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was absent from mandatory minicamp and head coach Brad Childress was not too happy about it. "I just know that there's a bunch of guys here," Childress said. "This has the term mandatory for a reason. The work's here."

NCAA Goes After USC - The NCAA slapped the University of Southern California with a series of sanctions including a two-year bowl ban for the football program. The sanctions were the result of a four-year investigation surrounding Reggie Bush.

Chicago Wins Stanley Cup - For the first time in 49 years, the Chicago Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup, defeating the Philadelphia Flyers in six games. Patrick Kane scored the game-winning goal in overtime to give Chicago a 4-3 overtime win.

Strasburg Improves To 2-0 - Washington Nationals phenom Stephen Strasburg improved to 2-0 on Sunday, defeating the Cleveland Indians 9-4. In the first two starts of his Major League career, Strasburg has fanned 22 batters and brought a buzz to Washington, D.C.

Franklin Wins At UFC 115 - Chuck Liddell was knocked out by Rich Franklin at UFC 115 in what could be the final fight in the veteran’s career. Franklin was able to overcome a broken arm that he suffered earlier in the match to knock out Liddell at 4:55 in the first round.
