Alexander Retains Titles - It wasn’t pretty but Devon Alexander retained his light welterweight championships in a unanimous victory over Andriy Kotelnik in his hometown of St. Louis. With the win, Alexander is in line to fight fellow 140-pound rising star Timothy Bradley early next year.

"This is finally it," Rice said. "There are no more routes to run, no more touchdowns to score, no more records to set. That young boy from Mississippi has finally stopped running.  Let me stand here and catch my breath."
