Black Caucus Dinner - On Saturday, the president and the first lady attended Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Inc.’s Annual Legislative Conference Phoenix Awards Dinner in Washington, D.C.

Obamas Go to Church - On Sunday, the first family attended service at St. John’s Church Lafayette Square. Obama, who says he has not chosen a church home due to the possible disruption his presence would cause a congregation, still does use his Christian faith while performing his duties. Afterward, he played golf at Andrews Air Force Base.

Defending Obama - Former Secretary of State Gen. Colin Powell defended the president against the attacks from “fringe” elements of the Republican Party. “I think we have to be careful when we take things like Dinesh D’Souza’s book, which is the source of all of this, and suggest that somehow the President of the United States is channeling his dead father through some Kenyan spirits. This doesn’t make any sense,” he said.

Live Town Hall - On Monday afternoon, the president took part in a live CNBC town hall discussion about jobs and the economy.

Dinner Reception - Following the town hall, Obama will head to Philadelphia and deliver remarks at a finance and dinner reception for Rep. Joe Sestak (D-Pa.). He will deliver remarks at a Democratic National Committee reception as well.

Produce Shopping - President Obama also took some time to go shopping for local produce during his visit to the Reading Terminal Market in Philadelphia.
