Dreaming about dancing the light fantastic and perhaps doing an electric slide by the first couple? It could happen. The Presidential Inaugural Committee announced on Dec. 28 plans to make available a limited number of tickets to the second inaugural ball honoring President Obama and Vice President Biden on Jan. 21.

Tickets for the Inaugural Ball will be available on a first-come, first-served basis and cost $60 each. Click here to sign up for up to two tickets and you'll receive a notification when they become available.

A Commander-in-Chief's Ball, a tradition established by former President George W. Bush, will be held the same night. It is a tribute to invited members of the military and is free.

“The president and vice president’s second inaugural will continue their commitment to giving Americans from across the country the chance to share in this celebration,” said Stephen J. Kerrigan, who heads the Presidential Inaugural Committee.

Both events will be held in the Walter E. Washington Convention Center to economize on security and law enforcement needed.

So, start trying on ball gowns and dusting off those tuxedo pumps, ladies and gentlemen. If you're really lucky, you may hear four magical words that night: "May I cut in?"
