Guess Who Came to the White House State Dinner

Who was Who at the White House State Dinner for France.

Une Belle Époque - I've been to a White House party or two, but none so splendid as a State Dinner for a foreign head of state. The event honoring French President Francois Hollande did not disappoint. The glitz, the glamour, the caviar! But nothing was dishier than First Lady Michelle Obama, pictured here with President Obama and Hollande. She ruled the night in a black and liberty blue confection created by Venezuelan-American designer Carolina Herrera. The guest list included several members of the crème de la crème of African-American leadership. Here's how they rolled.  —Joyce Jones (@BETpolitichick) (Photo: AP Photo/ Evan Vucci)

Bon Appétit! - The dinner menu featured delicacies from around the world. Caviar from Illinois, quail eggs from Pennsylvania, dry-aged rib-eye from Colorado, salad greens and vegetables picked from the White House kitchen garden — and more!   (Photo: REUTERS/Kevin Lamarque)

A la Table - The menu was distinctly American, but the table setting and rest of the décor was designed to evoke a garden scene painted by the French impressionist artist Monet. (Photo: REUTERS /KEVIN LAMARQUE /LANDOV)
