Muhammad Ali Out of Hospital After Having Lost Consciousness

After losing consciousness earlier last month and being rushed to the hospital, boxing great Muhammad Ali is out of the hospital and resting at home.

Heavyweight boxing icon Muhammad Ali was rushed to the hospital last month after slipping in and out of consciousness.

He is now at home in Arizona and resting, longtime friend John Ramsey confirmed to the Louisville Courier-Journal on Friday morning.

Apparently, however, there were some scary moments when Ali was taken by ambulance from his Paradise Valley, Ariz., home by ambulance just days after he appeared weak and frail at Joe Frazier’s funeral on Nov. 17. Ali, who has been battling Parkison’s disease for 27 years, is reportedly doing better but at age 69 his health is definitely declining rapidly.

After speaking with Ali’s wife, Lonnie, Ramsey told the paper that the three-time heavyweight champion is “home and well.... He may not be going in the direction you or I like, but no one is on alert. That’s the truth.”

It’s still unclear exactly what went wrong when Ali was checked into the Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn Medical Center on Nov. 19, according to Star Magazine and RadarOnline.

Ali, who turns 70 next month, reportedly did have Thanksgiving with family and friends in Las Vegas and plans are still on for him to return to his hometown of Louisville to celebrate his birthday next month.
