Karim Benzema has a lot of explaining to do.

The soccer player connected to Bad Gal RiRi this summer was arrested in France this morning in connection to a sex tape scandal that involves an allegation of blackmailing another player.

The Real Madrid star was summoned to a police station in Versailles, France, where he was questioned about a possible extortion attempt with teammate Mathieu Valbuena.

Investigators are keying in on a conversation Benzema had with Valbuena back in July. However authorities are unsure of whether Benzema was extorting his teammate or just giving friendly advice.

If convicted, Benzema could face up to five years in prison.
