Watch: Shaq Guarantees His Sons Will Make the NBA but Shaunie O'Neal Has Words for Him

Here's what she had to say about the Hall of Famer's bold prediction.

You don't get to be an NBA Hall of Famer without the utmost confidence.

And it's clear that there's no shortage of confidence running through Shaquille O'Neal's veins — not only with him believing in himself, but his kids, too.

Late last month, the Diesel boldly guaranteed that his sons, Shareef and Shaqir, would be locks to make the NBA — just like he did before dominating his way to four league titles and a Hall of Fame entry.

Well, there's nothing wrong with a father who has supreme confidence in his kids. But his ex-wife, Shaunie O'Neal, had something to say about it.

When recently stopped by TMZ Sports cameras herself, Shaunie did admit that as parents, you don't want to put that kind of pressure on a couple of teenagers, especially considering that Shaqir, 13, is more interested chasing girls than hoop dreams right now.

That being said, she divulged that Shaq makes statements carefree ... even if they're lofty goals.

Listen to her full words for her ex below.

It seems like Shaunie isn't taking Shaq's prediction to heart, opting to just let her kids be kids.

Then again, Shaq is one of the most dominant NBA players the world has ever seen. He knows what he's talking about.

We'll be able to revisit the first half of Shaq's guarantee in a few years, as Shareef, 16, is already on colleges' radar for basketball and was slated in May to train with Kobe Bryant this summer.

Seems like Shareef is on his way.
