Colin Kaepernick Says He's 'Absolutely In Football Shape' And 'Ready' To Play 'Right Now'

Hall of Famer Cris Carter and columnist Shaun King spoke with the woke QB.

In the midst of many people boycotting the NFL over its treatment of Colin Kaepernick, the woke quarterback has remained relatively silent about his football future.

That is, until now.

On Sunday, writer and activist Shaun King and Pro Football Hall of Famer Cris Carter each took to their respective Twitter accounts to share slices of the candid conversations that they each had with Kaepernick.

A unanimous take from those conversations was that Kaep wants to play in the NFL again...and that he's ready to return ASAP.

During King's conversation with Kaepernick, he asked the QB straight up, "Do you want to play football?"

Kaep's response? "Yes. I've never stopped. I'm ready right now. Working out daily."

Carter had much of the same feedback from his talk with Kaepernick as well in that the veteran QB is ready to play.

To that latter point that Kaepernick is "ready for a call ... if it ever comes," there are plenty of NFL teams with poor and struggling quarterback play that could use the 29-year-old's skills and experience in the pocket.

Do you think we'll see Kaepernick back in the NFL this season?
