Shannon Sharpe Spoke On 'The Hypocrisy' Of Ray Lewis And LeSean McCoy, And It Was Epic

"What were you kneeling for?"

Last month, Ray Lewis advised Colin Kaepernick to quiet his social activism down. Later, in the same month, LeSean McCoy said that Kaep's play isn't worth the "distraction" the quarterback would bring to an NFL team.

Well, it took Donald Trump calling any protesting NFL player a "son of a b***h" during a rally Friday for the retired Lewis to kneel with his former Baltimore Ravens teammates during the national anthem Sunday, while McCoy stretched during the song before his Buffalo Bills kicked off their home game against the Denver Broncos.

People have already dragged Lewis and McCoy for their hypocrisy. But Shannon Sharpe wasn't going to let this moment pass without blasting his friend and former teammate Lewis and McCoy.

Speaking on Fox Sports 1's Undisputed yesterday, Sharpe took Lewis and McCoy to task for each of their anthem demonstrations after they publicly criticized Kaepernick.

"I'm very disappointed in one of my very best friends, Ray Lewis," Sharpe said.
"Ray Lewis sat in that chair right there and said that he could never kneel, he could never not stand for the national anthem because so many people died and he had family members that fight for this country and the flag means so much to him ... and he kneeled. Not on one knee, on both knees. So, what were you kneeling for? You kneeled, you showed solidarity because of what President Trump said and when Colin Kaepernick is trying to draw attention to the injustices going on, you deem that inappropriate!?"

And Sharpe made sure that McCoy got that work, too.

"LeSean McCoy, you remember what you said about a month ago about Colin Kaepernick? Not only were you kneeling, you were stretching. You were even worse than kneeling. The hypocrisy! And that's what I find so ironic about this ..."

Watch Shannon completely get Ray Lewis and LeSean McCoy together during this segment.

Is Shannon Sharpe not the most-woke sports media personality out here?
