T.I., Featuring Pharrell – "What's Yo Name" (2001) - In addition to producing another track on I'm Serious with his Neptunes partner Chad Hugo, Pharrell also lent his vocals to the inaugural T.I. album via a feature on "What's Yo Name."(Photo: Artista Records)

I'm Serious (2001) - Although Tip's debut album completely tanked, it did garner the emcee the attention and fan support that made his next album a huge success. (Photo: Artista Records)

T.I., Trap Muzik - While I'm Serious was a solid debut from T.I., he wouldn't be calling himself the King of the South today if it weren't for 2003's Trap Muzik. Tip was still relatively fresh off the streets on the album, yet his flawless flow was taking form. Many would agree that this remains the Atlanta native's strongest work, and not only has he grown beyond the trap in the decade since, but there's also no reason to mess with a good thing. (Photo: Courtesy of Atlantic Records)

Trap Muszik (2003) - After moving from LaFace to Atlantic Records, T.I. got his footing again and came back to the rap game swinging. His sophomore album, Trap Muzik, was raw and straight up about the ATL trap. "24's" and "Be Easy" both did well as singles, but the song that put everyone on to T.I. was his classic "Rubberband Man." It's almost 10 years later, but it still goes hard. (Photo: Atlantic Records)

T.I., Featuring Pharrell – "Freak Though" (2004) - Though they didn't contribute to his sophomore effort, the Neptunes were once again behind the boards on T.I.'s third album, Urban Legend. Not only did the duo produce "Freak Though," but Pharrell was also featured on the 2004 track. (Photo: Atlantic Records)

Urban Legend (2004) - With production from The Neptunes, Jazze Pha and Lil' Jon, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that Urban Legend was going to be a platinum-selling album. "ASAP," "You Don't Know Me" and "Bring 'Em Out" were all standout tracks for Tip on this one. (Photo: Atlantic Records)

T.I., Featuring Common and Pharrell – "Goodlife" (2006) - The Neptunes and T.I. linked up once again on King. With the Virginia duo handling the production, Tip enlisted both Pharrell and Common to kick some rhymes on the 2006 song. (Photo: Atlantic Records)

King (2006) - 2006 was a huge year for the King of the South because his album, King, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard charts the same week that his big screen debut, ATL, was released. Quite possibly Tip's most successful album, King spawned the classic "What You Know." (Photo: Atlantic Records)

T.I. Vs. T.I.P. (2007) - T.I. Vs. T.I.P. was released to show how diverse he is and display the fact that Southern rap is his territory and that no other emcees can see him. T.I. produced a few tracks along with Danja, The Runners and Wyclef and the results were stellar. (Photo: Atlantic Records)

Paper Trail  (2008) - After running into trouble with the law and helping teens turn their lives around on MTV's Redemption, T.I. released Paper Trail. There was the flirty track "Whatever You Like," the Justin Timberlake-assisted "Dead and Gone" and, of course, the standout singles "Swagga Like Us" featuring Weezy, Jay and Kanye as well as "Live Your Life" featuring Rih Rih. T.I., Featuring Pharrell – "Amazing" (2010) - In addition to producing the album's lead single, the Neptunes laced T.I. with No Mercy's "Amazing." The up-tempo cut also features vocals from Pharrell.(Photo: Atlantic Records)

No Mercy (2010) - After running into personal woes and helping to save a suicidal man from jumping off a bulding, T.I. released No Mercy. Although this album flew under the radar, it had some amazing tracks featuring Christina Aguilera, Drake, The-Dream and more. (Photo: Atlantic Records)

T.I., Trouble Man: Heavy Is the Head - After years of legal troubles and underwhelming musical output, many questioned if the one-time self-proclaimed King of the South was worthy of the throne. But on Trouble Man, his first album after his second prison stay in two years, T.I. sounds as hungry as ever, with the agile flow, brash delivery and trap-focused content that put him on the map in the first place. Trouble Man: Heavy Is the Head  (2012) - With "Go Get It" and "Ball" featuring Lil' Wayne, Trouble Man: Heavy Is the Head is destined to be another No. 1 release from Tip. (Photo: Grand Hustle/Atlantic)

"Cruisin'" - T.I. goes to H-Town again on "Cruisin'," but this time he's on the wrong side of the tracks, channeling Kirko Bangz' Auto-tune crooning rather than UGK's hard lean. The result is the album's first real misstep. We know every rapper thinks they can sing ever since 808s & Heartbreak, but we thought Tip knew better.  (Photo: Chris McKay/Getty Images for BET)
