Jackie Robinson - Jackie Robinson was the first Black player in Major League Baseball and debuted as a shortstop for the Kansas City Monarchs of the Negro Leagues in 1944.  In 1947 he made his debut with the Brooklyn Dodgers and shattered the color lines in baseball. He was active in the Civil Rights Movement, especially for Black athletes. He was the first Black man to win the Heisman trophy and was drafted to the Cleveland Browns under his idol Jim Brown. Unfortunately, Davis never played a single game due to lukemia.
