Dr. Romance's Relationship Guide: Bringing the Sexy Back

Dr. Romance is here to provide some much needed advice to anyone going through a relationship dry spell.

On this week’s episode of Let’s Stay Together, Stacy and Charles battle a sexual dry spell and try to put the oomph back in their relationship. If any of you ladies have been in this situation, worry not. If Stace’s problem has taught us anything, it’s that you can be loved up one second and wondering how the heck you made it so many days sans love the next. Us girls can’t be lingerie-clad, sexy-makeup-sporting, make-the-man-melt-on-the-spot ready all the time. Sometimes, it’s hard to get out of that I’m-not-feeling-it vibe. Here’s a brief guide on what to do if you want to up the bedroom action.

1.Talk about it. Yes, we’ve all heard communication helps and actually addressing the problem with your boo will make it easier for the two of you to find a solution (and there’s no shame in admitting it out loud ‘cause chances are he’s noticed as much — if not more — as you have).

2. Work out together. Not only will you feel more confident about your body, but the physical activity will help release endorphins, which in turn will release more sex hormones, which in turn will…well, you get the gist.

3. Do your own thing for a while. Sometimes spending too much time together can be a bad thing. Go out with your friends and get away from each other. Missing each other can bring the sexual thrill back.

4. Ban the dirty for a certain period. Making the act taboo and off-limits will increase the tension and add to the excitement of being together in the end.

5. Consult a couples therapist. A non-biased, fresh perspective from an experienced professional never hurt anyone!
