DJ Mell Starr\r - DJ Mell Starr began his career as a house DJ in NYC after interning with "Little" Louie Vega and Kenny "Dope" Gonzalez of legendary production team Masters at Work. His signature lack of cans quickly earned him the name, “No Headphones in Harlem,” where he also became known for his ability to rock the crowds and the turntables while transitioning between Serato, Trankor, Itch and vinyl without any drop-off. DJ Mell Starr has also toured with music industry heavyweights, including Usher, Jay-Z, Ludacris and more, while still managing to practice his craft every day. Despite the glamour of working alongside hip hop royalty, the coolest place he’s ever spun was in Kuwait for 200,000 US troops. He also enjoys cooking and spending time with his girlfriend & daughter.  (Photo: BET)

DJ P\r - Hailing from Springfield, MO, DJ P is one of the pioneers of "blending," a style commonly known as the "mash-up." In a world where many hip hop DJs are either technical underground nerds or Top 40 hip hop jukeboxes, DJ P is a blend of both and more. His mix discs have taken on a life of their own, to the point that Rolling Stone called his “Uneasy Listening” a “Top Musical Moment.” He thrives on the raw excitement found in unlikely places like 80s New Wave, classic and alternative Rock, even Drum 'n' Bass, as well as the usual "can't lose" hip hop favorites, old and new. Recently, DJ P started working on a documentary film and can be seen on the turntables each weekend at The Palm in Las Vegas.    (Photo: BET)
