Hard Time, Talk Shows & Tattling on Tosha
This week on Toya: A Family Affair, the omnipresent question on all of our minds was finally answered: What landed Walter in the big house for a 10-year jail stint? And although we had a feeling that Reginae would be next in line for the Young Money dynasty, we didn't know she wanted to be the next Oprah too. Speaking of following dreams, Walter's wish for rap stardom is causing a rift between him and his lady, Tosha. Check out all the details on the drama:
Walter & Toya Reminisce on the Past: Toya didn't even know the reason why Walter was locked down. To help her understand his past, Walter took Toya to the place where the crime occurred. We find out that Walter was in prison for grand theft auto and that he took the car more out of desperation than debauchery. Seeing the dilapidated neighborhood that he grew up in let Toya and the rest of us into his adolescent psyche. Toya asked Walter he if would hide his past from his children, and he said no. It's important to him that they learn from their father's mistakes.
Reginae's "The Baby Carter Show": Now we all knew that Reginae had an excellent chance to become a talented young lyricist. Just look who her father is! What we didn't know was that she had ambitions to follow in Oprah Winfrey's footsteps. This episode, Reginae talked to her mother about seriously pursuing a talk show, and gave Toya and Memphitz a little bit of a preview. We see interesting interviews and variety shows in her future.
Walter Tattles on Tosha: Now we all know that Toya isn't the biggest fan of Walter's fiance (and her ex-bff), Tosha. So if he wants them to get along, maybe he shouldn't express every little problem that he has with her to Toya. Recently, Tosha's been nagging Walter about his late hours in the studio. Maybe Walter should try compromising in this situation. She is pregnant after all!
The Case of Casey: Casey is continuing on his seeming spiral. After getting into an argument with Toya about finding direction, he visits his pregnant girlfriend, Gabrielle, to talk. It's obvious that she's fed up with his shenanigans, and while Casey may just need someone to believe in him, he isn't going to find it here either. Casey vows to get his act together before their baby is born.
Can Walter and Tosha compromise? With a wedding and a baby on the way they don't have room for anything but peace. Will Casey finally get his act together before his own child comes into the world? Find out next #ToyaTuesday on BET at 10P/9C.
