Amy Winehouse

Amy Winehouse is an English singer who saturated the American music scene with an arresting voice that complemented her unique mix of jazz, R&B and throwback Soul. Her 2006 album, Back to Black earned five Grammys, the most of any British singer. Her career has often been overshadowed by drug abuse and legal problems that played out in the tabloids, including a rocky relationship with her ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil. On July 23, 2011, Winehouse was found dead in her London apartment.
