Angela Winbush

Angela Winbush started out singing gospel in church and then became part of Wonderlove, Stevie Wonder's background vocalists.  In 1980, she stepped into the spotlight as half of the R&B team, Rene & Angela.  With partner Ivan "Rene" Moore, she released four albums, including A Street Called Desire, which boasted No. 1 hits "Save Your Love (for #1)" and "Your Smile."  However, there was tension within the group and Winbush released several successful solo albums under the watch of R&B legend Ronald Isley, whom she later married.
