Clipse

The hip hop duo formed by brothers Gene "No Malice" Thornton and Terrence "Pusha-T" Thornton hail from Virginia Beach, VA, and were early protégé’s of Neptunes frontman Pharrell Williams. Their first album, Lord Willin’, released in 2002, debuted at number one on the Billboard R&B/Hip Hop Charts fueled by their first single, “Grindin.” They went on to achieve crossover success with Justin Timberlake on his first solo single, the Neptunes produced “Like I Love You.” Label changes impacted the Clipse’s subsequent albums but the brothers pushed forth. Malice released a memoir in 2011, Wretched, Pitiful, Poor, Blind and Naked, while Pusha T made his acting debut on the HBO series How to Make It in America and signed to Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music label.
