D'Banj

Singer Dapo Daniel Oyebanjo (aka D'Banj) is a Nigerian-born singer based in London who brings a playful perspective to the Afrobeat genre.  Known for his humor, wit and mastery of the harmonica, he adds a spin to the heavy thoughts of Fela Kuti, whom he calls his mentor.  His songs deal with the journey of a young African man emerging in the 21st century. For his efforts, he's won Best African Act and Artist of the Year at the MTV Europe and Africa Music Awards shows, respectively.
