Rapper Georgia rapper Donnis (born Ladonnis Benjamin Crump) got his big break while serving in the Air Force. Stationed in Tokyo, Japan, the airman began recording music and performing on base, opening shows for visiting acts like T.I. and Erykah Badu. In 2009, Donnis released his debut mixtape, Diary of an ATL Brave, which set off major buzz with fan favorites "Country Cool" featuring Bun B. and "Gone." That next year the talented MC dropped two more mixtures: The Invitation and Fashionably Late, which Atlantic Records re-released as an EP. His latest mixtape is titled Southern Lights.
