The Harlem, New York, rapper got his first taste of popularity when DJ Kay Slay featured him on his mixtape. He dropped his debut album, Back 2 Tha Future, in 2006, which featured "It's Whateva" with Fat Joe. The rapper released his second effort, The Time Is Now, the following year, along with Politics as Usual. In 2008, Millz announced a record deal with Lil Wayne's Young Money Entertainment. And in 2009, he hit the stage to perform "Every Girl" at the BET Awards.
