Don’t be fooled by this petite, Bronx-born Dominican. Kat DeLuna can belt a power note like a Latina Whitney Houston. Her 2007 debut album, 9 Lives, showcased the singer’s larger-than-life voice on such tunes as “Am I Dreaming” and “Run the Show” (featuring Busta Rhymes). She’d follow up with her next album, the dance-floor rocking Inside Out in 2010. The up-and-comer has also made her share of career-boosting controversies, getting booed and panned for her soul-rippling rendition of the national anthem before a Dallas Cowboys game. DeLuna's fans have accused Jennifer Lopez of plagiarism because her single “On the Floor” sounds similar to DeLuna’s “Party O’Clock.”
