One of the leading acts in the neo soul movement, Kindred the Family soul made their debut in February 2003 with
Surrender to Love. A husband and wife duo consisting of Fatin and Aja Dantzler, the soul-singing pair was discovered by fellow Philadelphian Jill Scott. With mellow jams like “Far Away,” “Where Would I Be,” and “House of Love,” they released their fourth album,
Love Has No Recession, in July 2011. The couple also starred in their own web-based reality series,
6 Is It!, which followed their lives as parents of six juggling careers in the music industry.
