Maurette Brown Clark

Maurette Brown Clark found her voice while singing with her family group in Long Island, New York. She made a name for herself backing CeCe Winans and Hezekiah Walker. Brown Clark's first solo outing, 1998's How I Feel, won her a Stellar Award for Best New Artist. It was the first of many awards for the singer and pianist, who has joined her voice with several gospel greats, including Marvin Sapp, Daryl Coley and Helen Baylor, on the hit remake of Donnie McClurkin's "Stand." Her fourth album, Sound of Victory, entered the Billboard Gospel Album chart at #6 in 2012.
