Michael Jai White

Actor Starring as heavyweight boxing champ Mike Tyson in the HBO’s 1995 movie Tyson was the breakout role for actor Michael Jai White. Two years later, his brawn, thespian skill, and mastery of the martial arts helped the Brooklyn-born White become one of the first African-Americans to portray a major comic book superhero when he snagged the lead in Spawn. But it was roles in films like Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married? and Why Did I Get Married Too? that helped push White’s status as sex symbol. In 2009, he co-wrote and starred in the blaxploitation homage film Black Dynamite.
