Ol' Dirty Bastard

Rapper Ol' Dirty Bastard (born Russell Tyrone Jones) was a member of the legendary hip hop group Wu-Tang Clan. After the release of their 1993 debut, the rapper also known as "Dirt McGirt" dropped his first solo LP, Return to the 36 Chambers: The Dirty Version, which reached platinum status. His witty, wild lyrics, eccentric style and off-the-wall antics put the Brooklyn born MC in his own lane and branded him a rap star. On November 13, 2004, two days before his 36th birthday, he died of an accidental drug overdose. A documentary detailing his life and career entitled Dirty: The Official Ol' Dirty Bastard Biography was released in 2009.
