As an underground rap artist from Atlanta, Pill (born Tyrone Rivers) proved buzzworthy when he made XXL’s Freshmen Class of 2010. He subsequently caught the attention of Rick Ross and joined his Maybach Music Group, where he was featured on the roster’s collaborative album Self Made Vol. 1 before cutting ties with the label in early 2012.
