Actress At just nine years old, Quvenzhané Wallis was already starring in hit films, garnering critical accalim and winning prestigious award nominations. Her breakout role in the 2012 fantasy drama Beasts of the Southern Wild put her in the category for Best Actress at the 85th Academy Awards, making her the youngest actress to ever achieve this feat and the third youngest to receive a nomination in any category. With her name still fresh on critics’ lips, the young starlet is set to shine in the upcoming drama 12 Years a Slave opposite Chiwetel Ejiofor and Brad Pitt, as well the indie short film Boneshaker.
