His stand-up has influenced most of today’s legendary comics and his talent earned him numerous accolades throughout his career, from Grammys and the Writers Guild of America to an Emmy Award. The socially-conscience comedian first signed to Laff Records then moved to Warner Bros., recording over a dozen comedy-based LPs and releasing acclaimed performances such as Richard Pryor: Live in Concert.
