Choir directing has always been in Ricky Dillard's blood. At just five years old, he started directing his church youth choir and the Chicago singer created his own high school choir when he realized his classmates needed a musical outlet. He released a successful dance music album in 1989, but by 1991 he had embraced God's calling on his life and founded his choir, New G. Since then, the Stellar Award-winning gospel choir has produced several contemporary albums that inject the sacred with a touch of hip-hop and jazz.
