Robin Roberts

News Anchor Known for her work on ESPN's Sportscenter and ABC's Good Morning America (GMA), Robin Roberts is one of the most prominent Black figures in American newscasting. Her public battles with breast cancer and the rare bone marrow disease myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) have garnered Roberts praise for her resiliency. They've also garnered the journalist a Peabody Award for documenting her journey on GMA and ESPN's Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the 2013 ESPYs. In December of that same year, the two-time author publicly acknowledged her girlfriend of 10 years, Amber Laign, in a post on Facebook.
