Rapper

Born in London, Rick Walters helped to make old school hip-hop history when he collaborated with human beatboxer Doug E. Fresh on the singles “La Di Da Di” and “The Show.” Slick Rick then released his platinum selling, The Great Adventures of Slick Rick in 1988. While defending himself against a violent attack in1990 he shot and wounded two people and was sentenced to three to ten years in1991. Rick later released the gold albums The Ruler’s Back, Behind Bars and The Art of Storytelling.
