VaShawn Mitchell

Gospel Singer In the world of contemporary gospel music, VaShawn Mitchell is a superstar on the rise.  Born and raised in Chicago, Mitchell began his musical career as a teenager as assistant music director of St. Mark Baptist Church, working closely with nationally-renowned choir leader Lonnie Hunter.  Coming into his own as a musical minister, Mitchell released his hit debut LP Triumphant, scoring what some have deemed an instant classic with the single "His Blood Still Works."  His single "Nobody Greater" became the number one song at gospel radio for nine weeks.
