Before we know it, the BET Awards 2022 will be here, and as usual, it’s slated to be a show-stopping night packed with tons of guest appearances, energy-packed performances, and winner moments you won’t want to miss.
We’re looking back at past winners, nominees, and special guest honorees, including our favorite collaborations. Over the years, some of the biggest acts in the industry have joined forces to get us chart toppings hit. So ahead of this year’s event hosted by actress and returning emcee Taraji P.Henson on Sunday, June 26 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, we’re looking back at some of our favorite past “Best Collaborations.” Check out our list below.
Snoop Dogg ft. Pharrell & Charlie Wilson — “Beautiful”
West Coast legend Snoop Dogg and Grammy Award-winning super producer Pharrell, and music legend Charlie Wilson took home “Best Collaboration” at the BET Awards 2003 for this uptempo number, a standout track off Snoop’s sixth studio album Paid the Cost to Be the Boss.
Chris Brown ft. Busta Rhymes and Lil Wayne — “Look at Me Now”
Chris Breezy delivered this dirty south-inspired single with the help of hip hop icons Busta Rhymes and Lil Wayne, earning the R&B crooner his first number-one single on the US Hot Rap Songs chart as a lead artist and the “Best Collaboration” award at the BET Awards 2011.
Rihanna ft. Drake — “Work”
Barbadian songbird Rihanna teamed up with frequent collaborator Drake for this 2016 smash hit off her eighth studio album Anti. It scored “Best Collaboration” at the 2016 ceremony, but the track also became the first dancehall song to top the Billboard Hot 100 since she released “Rude Boy" in 2010.

Cardi B. Ft. Megan Thee Stallion — “Wap”
Cardi B’s “WAP,” featuring Texas’s hottest rapper Megan Thee Stallion had one of the most successful runs in music history, breaking industry records. At the same time, it swept last year’s event with five nominations and four wins, including “Song of the Year,” “Best Hip Hop Video,” and “Best Collaboration.”
DJ Khaled ft. Rihanna & Bryson Tiller — “Wild Thoughts”
Miami-based producer DJ Khaled is a mastermind when it comes to putting the right artist together on tracks that rarely seem to fail. He did with this 2017 record “Wild Thoughts,” featuring Grammy Award-winning singer Rihanna and Bryson Tiller, which earned them “Best Collaboration” at the BET Awards 2018.
