No Features: J. Cole Officially Goes Double Platinum

He's untouchable.

In a way, it's interesting to think about how spot on J. Cole's cover art for his celebrated 2014 Forest Hills Drive album was. In the photograph, in which the rapper is staring off into the distance, it's almost as if he was envisioning his future as the successful musician he is today.

With praise for his album turning into memes consistently focusing on his commercial success without the help of any features, as of October 19, those memes need to be edited. Not only did he go platinum without any features, he went DOUBLE platinum.

Roc Nation shared the news on Instagram that the album was certified by the RIAA as double platinum, making him the first hip-hop artist in 25 years to go double platinum without any guest features.

Today's a great day to revisit the project, no?

Congrats to you, J. Cole!
