Kev's ex not convinced their relationship is for real.
Kevin Hart and his ex-wife, Torrei Hart, may seem like friendly exes, but there's still a fair amount of baggage left from the couple's marriage. Torrei opened up to S2S Magazine about splitting with the Real Husbands of Hollywood comedian, and how she feels about his new love.
"It’s so painful. I just feel like there’s ways to do things, too," Torrei says about the divorce. "When we first split up, I took a lot of time to just heal. I feel like he hasn’t even really healed, because he went from one relationship right into another relationship."
Kevin and Torrei are each in new relationships now, but Torrei isn’t quite as convinced as Kevin that his new woman is "his rib" as the comedian has previously described her.
"It’s easy to be somebody’s rib when you’re a millionaire," she said. "That’s just me being as honest as I can. Me, for instance: You’re working at City Sports and I’m taking you to your shows, you’re driving my car, you’re crashing my car several times, and I’m still there for you, supporting you, went out and got a job for the phone company and still making sure I got your back so you can pursue your dreams…That’s what ribs do!”
After Torrei caught some backlash on social media for throwing shade on her ex and his new woman, the Hollywood Exes star defended her comments on Instagram. "I am entitled to have an opinion. Having an opinion does not mean I am bitter or throwing shade it simply means I speak the truth as I see it," she posted.
Though she’s clearly still giving the side-eye to Hart's girlfriend, Eniko Parrish, she still wishes her ex-husband well.
"We go through our periods, but I would say that we’re getting closer. We're working through stuff," she said.
