Eddie Murphy, Samuel L. Jackson Among Hollywood's Highest Paid

Morgan Freeman is also in the top 10 earners.

Eddie Murphy, Samuel L. Jackson and Morgan Freeman are among Hollywood's top 10 highest-paid actors, according to a list compiled by Box Office Mojo. The three stars each fall behind just Tom Hanks, who is the highest-paid actor of all time. Morgan came in second place, Jackson in third and Murphy fourth, just behind Harrison Ford.
The trio beat out heavy hitters like Tom Cruise, Bruce Willis, Robin Williams, Johnny Depp and Robert Downey Jr. The list is based on the amount each actor has earned over the course of their entire careers. While it was not intended to be separated by gender, no women made the top 10.
Broken down by numbers, Freeman has grossed $4.229 billion at the box office over the course of his long career. He’s made 56 movies with them earning an average of $75.5 million each. Jackson has grossed $4.002 billion at the box office and has been in the most movies of anyone on the list, with his 62 films grossing an average of $64.6 million each. Murphy has made $3.810 billion at the box office during his career, with his highest-grossing film being the voice role of Donkey in Shrek 2, which made $441.2 million. The actor has made 38 movies with an average gross of $100.3 million each, the second-highest average gross per film on the list.
